Lebanon
Historically, the biblical "land of milk and honey", Lebanon,
has always been an attraction for conquerors due to its abundant natural
resources, the safe coastline and the defensive possibilities of the high
mountains.
Located at a geographical crossroad where East meets west and land coincides
with sea, Lebanon, the small Levantine country (10452 Km2), has witnessed
more than its fair share of invaders who left remarkable prints in its
history and rich archaeology. This country packs a lot into its borders:
archaeological sites, natural beauties, beach resorts, ski resorts, bucolic
charm, Christian monasteries and Islamic architecture, just to name a
few. Culturally, Lebanon is also full of complexity, with religious and
social diversity that makes Lebanese people very hospitable, generous
and friendly.
